At Life Adventure Guiding, our mission is to empower people to pursue their passion for outdoor adventure, specifically in the realm of rock climbing. We believe that rock climbing is more than just a sport, it’s a way to connect with nature, challenge oneself, and build confidence.

Our goal is to provide top-quality instruction and guidance to climbers of all levels, from beginners who are just starting out, to experienced climbers looking to refine their skills. We believe in a personalized approach that meets each climber where they are and helps them achieve their individual goals.

Our founder, Tim, has been climbing and adventuring in the Swiss Alps for over a decade and deeply loves sharing the mountains with others. His passion for climbing led him to create Life Adventure Guiding in 2017.

He offers a range of climbing courses and trips for groups or private 1:1 instruction tailored to all skill levels. With low ratios and a positive learning environment, courses are designed to provide the best instruction and experience possible.

Based in Arth-Goldau in Central Switzerland, we are perfectly situated to access a variety of climbing areas including Mythen Region, Luzern, Ticino, Uri & Urner Alps, and Berner Oberland, among others. Our trips run from April through September, offering a unique opportunity to connect with the mountains and enjoy the sport of rock climbing.

Timothy ‘Tim’ Dunham is a passionate rock climber and founder of Life Adventure Guiding. Born and raised in Southern California, Tim discovered his passion for rock climbing at an early age, and it has become a lifelong pursuit.

He has over 20 years of climbing experience and is an Aspiring Rock Guide with the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA), having completed the Rock Guide Course. Tim’s goal is to educate and mentor climbers in rock climbing techniques, just as he was mentored when starting.

In addition to his love for climbing, Tim is also a skilled photographer and enjoys capturing the beauty of the mountains and his adventures. Since age 10, he has had a camera in his hand, always documenting his Life Adventure. His photography can be seen at Timothydunhamphotography.com.

Outside of climbing and photography, Tim also works professionally as a Radiology Technologist in a Cardiology Catheter Lab, where he has nearly 20 years of experience in the medical field. He brings his dedication to serving others to all aspects of his life, whether climbing rocks or assisting with heart surgeries.

Tim currently lives in Arth-Goldau, Switzerland, and enjoys traveling in his camper bus. He is an avid world traveler, making connections wherever he goes. Tim brings his passion for climbing and his vast experience to Life Adventure Guiding, offering each climber a unique and personalized experience. His diverse background and expertise make him a skilled guide and valuable resource for anyone looking to explore the world of rock climbing.
